TONY DANIELS, RA, FOUNDING PRINCIPAL
Tony Daniels is the founding principal of Cycle. His work on major civic projects has given him a deep and practical understanding of how to build outstanding architecture that is valuable to cities and communities. His technical, engineering-oriented, and detailed approach to problem-solving has resulted in the creation of architecture notable for its design quality, environmental sustainability, and integrity. He received his Bachelor of Arts in architecture from Columbia College in 1988. He received a certificate in conservation biology from Columbia’s Center for Environmental Resource Conservation in 2005. He is a Registered Architect in New York, and has earned credentials as a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Passive House designer. He is a prolific songwriter who recorded over 20 songs in his basement during the COVID quarantine.
CAITLIN MARTUSEWICZ, CPHD, PARTNER
Caitlin joined Cycle in 2014 and has since worked on a borad range of the firm’s sustainable planning, residential and commercial projects, with a focus on delivering high performance projects. Previously Caitlin’s passion for sustainable & community development led her to work on the design and construction projects in rural Ghana which focused on using local materials and traditional environmental knowledge to build resiliently and with low carbon footprints. She also worked as an architectural consultant for UNICEF in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the World Bank to develop national standards for the construction of pre-primary schools. Caitlin is a Cooper Union School of Architecture Alum, an Irma Weiss Fellow, Certified Passive House Designer and mentor in the the Mentorship for Women in Architecture program.
